Cape Breton Business Hall of Fame

The Cape Breton Business Hall of Fame has a mission of recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of our outstanding Cape Breton business leaders, to perpetuate and inspire the values of entrepreneurial spirit, personal integrity and community leadership.

The mission is achieved by honouring Cape Breton’s foremost past and present business leaders and by inspiring the leadership of the future. Inductees into the Hall of Fame are chosen for their distinguished accomplishments in business and the community.

Scholarships are awarded in honour of the inductees through Cape Breton University to outstanding business students who exhibit the same entrepreneurial drive and leadership spirit. To date, the Chamber has raised $107,000 that has been donated to the scholarship fund.

Nomination Criteria
Inductees should have exhibited all or most of the following criteria throughout their careers.

Lifetime Achievement
The candidate should have achieved business success over a significant period of time. The candidate should have achieved community success over a significant period of time.

Innovation
The candidate should have utilized innovative business acumen in achieving business and community success.

Impact on Economy
The candidate should have had a significant impact on the local/regional/national economy.

Recognition to Cape Breton
The candidate should have brought regional/national recognition to Cape Breton through his/her business and community success.
