Erdene Resource Development

Erdene Resource Development Corp. is a Nova Scotia based, diversified resource company with projects at various stages of development in Nova Scotia, the U.S., and Mongolia. 

Erdene is partnered with Xstrata Coal on the development of the Donkin Coal Project in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.  The Donkin Project is strategically located near the deep water Port of Sydney and is being developed as a 2.75 million tonne per year operation that will invest approximately half a billion Canadian dollars in capital expenditure and $100 million annually during its 30 year operating life. 

The Project is moving through the Environmental Assessment process and is in the early stages of Feasibility Study.

In Mongolia, Erdene is advancing a number of wholly-owned metals prospects in the Gobi Desert including its advanced stage Zuun Mod moly-copper deposit and its significant new gold discovery at Altan Nar. 

Erdene also owns a property in Georgia, USA that has just started mining, processing and selling aggregate for the U.S. construction industry.
