Our main office is located in the First Nations Community of Eskasoni and our home ports are located in the following Nova Scotian communities and villages:

    Arichat
    West Pubnico
    Petit De Grat
    Louisbourg

Ranging in size from 38 ft to 65 ft, we use fibre-glass over wood and steel vessels to harvest our live and fresh shellfish and fin fish products. Although some of these vessels can fish 150 miles off-shore in Canadian waters, we are known as harvesters of the inshore Atlantic Canadian fishery.

Crane Cove employs between 120 and 140 full-time and part-time employees. These employees comprise shore-based and sea-going personnel.

The Mi’kmaq have been part of the communal commercial fisheries for centuries and our knowledge of the territory and the wildlife is based on generations of experience. Our effective and highly ambitious team works hard to continuously improve within the fishing industry, both at sea and on shore.
