The Cape Breton Partnership believes that the youth of our region are truly one of our most valuable resources. It is for that reason that we want to engage Cape Breton's young entrepreneurs and business and community leaders in a dialogue about what can be done to attract and retain the next generation to the Cape Breton-Mulgrave region.
At the June 2010, one day NextGen Conference over 220 individuals between the ages of 16-40 attended to have their voices heard. One of the most passionate topics we heard them speak of was the need to combat negative attitudes and celebrate the successes of young people in this area.
The people of Cape Breton are known for being creative, innovative and hardworking. They are a strong and dedicated people. The youth of the region is no exception. Everywhere we look in the Cape Breton-Mulgrave region we can find exceptional youth. It is the Cape Breton Partnership's goal to acknowledge the youth of Cape Breton who are working diligently to contribute to the strong economic future of the Cape Breton region.
